Equipment

There isn’t much equipment needed for soccer which makes it quite easy. But the equipment used does protect you and make you play better and faster.

Every player on the team must be wearing team Uniform, the same exact jersey, shorts and socks, except for the goal keeper who wears a different color to signal hes the goalie.

Shin guards: Shin guards are used for players safety. They are worn under the socks and are placed over the shins. There are many different sizes of shin guards, many pros like small ones that barely cover anything because they’re lighter and doesn’t weigh you down as bigger sizes sometimes tend to do.

Cleats-These are the shoes worn by soccer players. There are different types of cleats for different surfaces, this is to get better grip or traction so you can cut fast and not slip.

Firm Ground Cleats: This is the classic soccer cleat that people think in their mind. With the nonremovable studs on the bottom of the foot. Firm Ground Soccer Cleats are designed to provide traction and stability on most natural grass soccer fields.

Soft Ground Soccer Cleats: Like firm ground soccer cleats, but the studs are longer to add traction for wet and muddy fields. Soft ground soccer cleats usually have metal-tipped detachable studs. Often referred to as metal cleats, these removable studs can be changed for various weather conditions and different field types.

Artificial Grass: These artificial soccer cleats are again eerily similar to the FG soccer cleats but the studs are shorter and circular in shape. These studs are used in artificial grass like turf but can also be used in grass as well.

Artificial Turf: This shoe has even shorter studs then AG cleats. Theses shoes have the option to wear on hard, dry natural surfaces as well as the new, bladed artificial grass surfaces.

Hard Court or Indoor Shoes: Indoor soccer shoes have a flat, stud-less rubber outsole on the bottom of the foot. This outsole is perfect from indoor and outdoor hard surfaces. Futsal can also be played with these shoes.

Soccer Balls: There are a couple different types of balls that people can use.

The custom soccer ball comes in 3 regulation sizes. Size 3 is for young kids, size 4 is for kids aged 8-12, and size 5 is 12+.

Futsal Balls- A futsal ball is a ball used for futsal soccer indoor or out. It is a smaller ball around size 4 size, but it is heavier then normal, and the ball doesn’t bounce either.
